Holland Hospital recognized for quality care

Holland Hospital has been recognized by two national organizations for its quality of care.

The hospital made the list of Truven Health Analytic’s Top 100 Hospitals in 2016 for the 11th consecutive year. Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital also made that list.

Holland Hospital is also one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals, according to Healthgrades’ 2016 ranking.

The award is given to hospitals who have proven to have clinical excellence across a spectrum of conditions and procedures for at least six consecutive years.

“This outstanding performance reflects an organization-wide commitment to quality,” said Mark Pawlak, senior vice president of quality, institutional support and hospital operations. “Receiving Truven’s 100 Top Hospitals award for our efforts to achieve and maintain this level of quality care is an honor. Being recognized as the best in the state by Healthgrades is a remarkable accomplishment that helps validate the exceptional work of all our medical staff, employees and volunteers.”

Holland Hospital is one of eight hospitals in Michigan to make the Healthgrades list. Other institutions are Beaumont Health System’s Troy campus, Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, Mercy Health-Hackley Campus, Metro Health Hospital, Providence Park Hospital-Southfield Campus, Spectrum Health Medical Center-Butterworth Hospital and Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital.
